Elia gets Tubes put in her Ears

Today was actually an anticipated day filled with hope and joy of the relief of the pain and congestion our sweet baby girl has been dealing with for who knows how long.
It was about 8 months ago that she started doing this what she is doing in the 2 photos below, putting her thumbs in her ears to rub and rub them to get in as best she can to help what she was feeling deep in there... congestion!

About two months ago I brought her in because I had a mommy gut feeling that she had too much ear wax built up in her ears and maybe needed them cleaned out.  She has never been a big talker... not in the least compared to her siblings, which I have not really been much concerned about because I think a lot of it is her personality, but I had felt in my heart that there was a lot more in her mind that wanted to come out but the discomfort of communicating was holding her back.
Here she is with her two stickers on her gown trying to escape...  :)
They gave her a bear that she loved right away.
We had to be there at 6:00 a.m., so she was tired and had no food or drink... she is comforting herself by holding her hair, something she has done for as long as I can remember.
The procedure was about 5 minutes long and she did excellent!  Such a big girl!  :)  She fell asleep in the van on the way home and then did not want to stay asleep in her crib, she was very stimulated by her new found loud and clear hearing capabilities!  She was wired and "ON" for a good 2 or 3 hours... babbling and busy like never before.  I did a couple of videos of how busy and talkative she was... she even tried saying "batman" within that time!
Praise God for His provision for us to have this done!  We are so thankful for what is ahead for our girl!  Love you, Bear!!!  :)
