Magical Mondays

Donnie took Liliana to dance class for the very first time. He loved it and she did too! She was very giddy to have her daddy there with her. He said she waved at him like 50 times. See her peeking over to see him. So sweet!

Donnie did not take too many pictures because he was shy about using my pink camera infront of all the moms there. I told him they would all understand! :o) Hey, at least he took these. He's the best!

Dates with daddy are something that is important to us and I guess this was kind of their first one. Daddy Dates will show our precious girl how a lady is to be treated and nurturing that daddy-daughter bond is just so special and priceless!

My Little Artist

Liliana drew these today. :o)

Meet the Capps Family

I am losing count of how many identities we have had over the past several weeks. We are now elephants. This has been going on for about a week. One day in the middle there we were bunnies and one day doggies, but for the most part of a week, elephants.
Today I was washing my face and peeked around the corner at the kids and Liliana saw me and told me that these elephants are us, so I had to take a picture... Donnie is the grey one, I am the purple one, Noah the white one and she is the pink one! How perfectly cute and creative! The way she chose them is right on! So cool!

Noah Talk

Noah has added a couple of new words to his vocabulary.

Door - he learned this one by studing the bathroom door... you know those times where you get not a moment alone! Ha! He would point at the door and I would say "door" about 50 times as he pointed and there you go! (about a week ago)

Dora - he loves to point at the pictue of Dora on one of their toy bins - same drill - he points 50 times, I say "Dora" 50 times. :o) (yesterday)

Girl & Good Girl - He just picked this one up from me saying "good girl" to Liliana.

Go - today we were in the Target parking lot driving around looking for a parking place - it was packed! Liliana asked me "what are we doing?", I said "looking for a parking place", she said "you can go wherever you want" and boom - Noah said "GO".... "go".... and then all three of us said it about 20 times to make sure it stuck. ha! :o)

This is all so sweet! I remember my brother and me teaching my little sister, Linda, how to talk. She is a little over 4 years younger than me.

Noah News

Oh, my sweetest Noah... where do I begin? He has been doing so many pricelessly adorable things over the past few weeks, I need to catch up on documenting them.

One day he took the kitchen towel off of the oven handle and brought it into the living room and wiped my mouth with it several times and was very maticulous about it and proud of himself. He was doing what mommy does to him after his meals. :o)

The next day he came into the living room from the kitchen with a giant ladel and was putting it to my mouth to have me taste his imaginary food - again, feeding me just like I feed him.

He is all into being independent at the dinner table. He has been doing this for a couple of months now. He loves to try to feed himself with the spoon.

Here he is drinking from his silver cup that Larry and Lil Volz gave him when he was born.

He is my climber for sure!!! I will make a special post all about that tomorrow with photos and all! Oh, boy - I am looking forward to a busy summer with this guy! :o) I am ready for it and will love every moment!!! So Sweet!

The Priest of Our Home

No pun intended. hehe.
I am a little shy to write from my heart on this because I have "readers" out there, but like you, I do this blog for me and for my kids when the grow up to look back on. So, for that reason, I will write on...
Last night we had our CCIF (Crossroads Community International Fellowship) Annual Leadership Banquet at church. It was exceptional. I am not really into banquets, because I am such a practical person and really look for how everything we spend our time and energy on effects people in their common lives. Well, I saw the beautiful big picture and the great value of this banquet last night. I appreciated all of the testimonies given of the various CCIF credential holders and their ministries within the church and I really feel that coming together and having them share from their hearts brought them, in a sense to a deeper realization of what God is doing in and through them. I appreciate each and every leader and servant in our church and have such a heart to cheer them on for the kingdoms' sake and see others step up into service too.
A personally special part of the banquet was when my love, Donnie, walked up those steps to that chior stand of a pulpit and proceed to give a most beautiful and excellent graduation ceremony for CCIBI (Crossroads Community International Bible Institute). He is the Academic Deen of CCIBI and also a professor. I saw him in such a "prestigious" light and as he walk up those steps, I saw how mature he has become in the Lord and it just made me think of our Bibleschool professors and how I use to see them in that light and now that is Donnie. I just love him so much and am so proud of him and of God in Him. Thank you Lord Jesus - it is all for you!!! I Love you!

Magical Mondays

Liliana's First Dance Lesson
Okay, so we get to Winninger's today for Liliana's first Dance lesson and she walks into her class and the teacher introduces her to her classmates as Liliana and Liliana says "no, I'm a pig". Yes, that is her new name - we are now a family of pigs, daddy pig, mommy pig, pig, and baby pig... Oh-MY-Goodness!!! When she said to her teacher "no, I'm a pig" right in front of her class first thing - I thought to myself "she didn't" and chuckled to myself that she is so absolutely comfortable to be the same person no matter who she is around! I pray she never ever changes for anyone! I love it!!! She has such a sweet innocence about her.

Here they are stretching.

Here the teacher is telling Liliana she needs to stand on her star.

Here she is "being" a giraffe - her choice of animal to imitate.

See the teachers "baby bump"... she is in her first trimester. She is so cute. Not sure of her name yet - I was so focused on Liliana, I forgot her name!

She's got some moves!
Check out that height! :o)

Jumpin' over the stars.

3 year olds following the leader.

She did excellent and she loved every minute of it. She was such a big girl!
My heart melts over these pictures and I get tickly butterflies looking at them!

Noah Napping

Nothing like watching a baby sleep! This photo needs no words!

Meet the "Ducky" Family

Yes, we have new names! Just when I got the Clifford character names all down and began regularly calling Noah T-Bone and Liliana, Cleo, she changed it on me! It happened yesterday and I am not sure why but she decided that we are now:

Daddy Ducky
Mommy Ducky
Liliana Ducky
Baby Ducky

I am still calling Noah T-Bone... ahhhh! I can't keep up with these name changes, and YES, she adamantly corrects us if we don't use the new names.

QuAcK qUaCk! :o)

Here is what I get to enjoy watching every morning! Way too sweet!

More Liliana News:

This has been going on for at least a week now:

I am cracking up just thinking about it!!! lol She insists that Donnie's toothbrush is her mother's toothbrush. Yes, her mother is the mysterious person who is at her house and is going to come over and pick up her toothbrush! She talks about this everytime she sees Donnie's toothbrush.

The other day I overheard her writing a letter to me in a notebook and she was saying what she was writing: "Dear Emily Elizabeth, Don't Tell Me Anymore!" the term "don't tell me" is her saying she doesn't want me telling her what to do, like telling her "no".
