I had a girlfriend and her 9 month old son over to hang out with us for a couple hours this morning. It was the first time she had come over to our house. She is sweet through and through! She brought us a beautiful large homeade pumkin bread to enjoy! She had talked about how it filled their house with the yummiest fall aroma the evening prior and lured her husband's tastebuds...but he forbidden to touch it!
So, she walks in and hands me this wonderful gift all wrapped in foil and in a grocery bag. I said "we will have some of this in a little bit" as a I placed it on the kitchen counter. Thinking nothing of that, we all hung out in the living room talking about pregnancy and babies. Noah walks up to me and says "Open the present" and I said "yes, we will open it in a minute"....
we continued chatting....
about 3 minutes later Liliana runs in to tell us that Noah broke and egg and I turn to see him approach me in the living room with raw egg all over both of his hands!
"Noah, what in the world did you do!?", I questioned as I streamlined it to the kitchen to discover this!!!! I have no idea why the camera is there, maybe he thought this needed to be scrapbooked...haha!
I was absolutely speechless, which I almost never am!!! First, I almost cried because I felt so bad this had happened to the thoughful gift my new friend had brought me... the tears dried up and turned into laughter which I did my best to conceal from Noah... what else can you do but LAUGH... this is, after all, a photo op my grown-up mind could have never thought up!Thank God for Crazy Moments like these to stamp our minds forever with memories no one can take away!
