Sweet and Snug

Noah Talk

Noah has been talking so much, it is getting hard to keep up with his new words. He will experiment and say new words here and there. He says "this", "that" and the cutest new one is "baby".

Just Like Mommy

This morning Liliana ran to the bathroom saying she had to go "poopoo" and I said "okay", thinking, hmmm... she just went about 5 minutes ago. Well a little while later while snuggling on the couch I said "did you wipe when you went poopoo?" and she just looked at me with big eyes and patted her pull-up and said "I have something in there" and I said "what do you have in there and she said "a pad... I have a pad... I need it in there". So sweet! When I took the pull-up off later this morning to give her a bath, there it was, that pad in that sweet innocent girls pull-up. She really needed that pad! :o)

A couple of days ago, I was sitting in the living room feeding Noah and she said "can I hold him" in a most tender endearing voice and she went on to pull up her shirt and point to her "tata's" and said "can I feed Noah, I can feed him, I have milk in there" pointing right to where the milk supply would come out. I said, "honey, I don't think you have any milk in there" and she insisted that she did. So cute! :o)

Snyder's Swingset

Our friend Tim Snyder sent the following photo and message to us today via email. Way too cute!

Take a close look at the attached picture and see if you can figure out what is going on before you read the text below.

I noticed today that there we big holes next to the swing set.
After investigating for moles, dogs, muscrats, badgers, warthogs, I decided to quiz 2 little Snyders.
Are you planting a garden? no
Are you looking for toys? no
Are you buring something? no
Are you planting a tree, shrub, bush, grass? no, no, no, no
Are you looking for rocks? no
OK, I give up. Why are there holes in the back yard?
Well Daddy, the last time we had little Lilianna over, you lowered the swings.
Now our feet touch the ground....so we thought we would dig a ditch so we could swing without having to lift our legs.
Did you think about raising the swing??? Ohhhh, thats a good idea.

My Little Artist

In church a couple of weeks ago we had the 2's & 3's draw what they would want to find in heaven. During the lesson we talked about what a wonderful, happy, fun place heaven is and this is what Liliana drew: Family... check out what looks like a mom with her baby! Awe!

Below is "Super-Bird", Liliana created and named him.
She told me this is a sad guy. Check out his eyebrows, checks and chin!
Here is a caterpillar:
As I have said before, an artist has no limits, life is their palate and yogurt is their paint! Check out his ears, checks, chin and arms!

So fun!!!

Noah Napping

Look at that red hair! :o) The outlines of the dinosaurs and their eyes on these pajamas glow in the dark. Liliana kept wanting to "see the lights", so she would bring him into the dark bathroom downstairs and shut him in there with her. He did not like this! :o) So sweet!

Noah Talk

Ball - I was wearing pj's with reindeer on them and one has a tiny little real bell sewn onto it... that is where Noah learned the word ball... later in the day we brought home from church their big blue ball and he learned more of the word "ball"! :o) He is such a big talker.

Our First Day at the Park 2009!

We love being outside, so we have been sitting on the edge of our seats, so to speak, waiting for the moment we could get to the park! Well, we were out running errands and realized how nice it was out, so we drove over to the park and saw that most of the snow and ice had melted and got out of the van and had a BLAST!!! The fresh air is the best! The kids went to bed at 7 pm that night!

A Grass Snowman

This morning before church Liliana found her snowsuit in her bottom drawer and was putting it on: she kept saying she wanted to wear it and show it to her teachers. Here is how the conversation went:

Me: "honey, I don't want you to wear that to church, go ahead and take it off and you can put it back on when we get home"

Liliana: "and we can go outside and build a snowman!"

Me: "the snow is all gone"

Liliana: "that's okay, we can build a grass snowman!"

A Grass Snowman. So innocent, sweet and sincere! I love it!

A Mommy Confession

I love my baby's feet!

My baby's feet have always been my favorite - with Liliana and Noah! I am cracking up thinking that other people will read this, but who cares - this is too priceless... I love to smell my baby's feet - yes - completely yucky and sweet all at the same time! Just tonight Noah had his foot right on my nose as I was getting him ready for bed and I was just loving it! :o) I don't smell Liliana's anymore... after they turn 2, it is just not the same! Ha!

Valentine's Day!

Donnie had to work all day today so we went out last night and had a wonderful time!

Today it was just me and the kids. We had a sweet day together. Two of the highlights were:

Liliana was laying on me and I said "you're my girl". I have said that to her since she was born. Well today she said "no, I'm Daddy's girl"... Well! :o)

Noah gave me about 100 kisses today - he is the sweetest. He kisses me right on the lips! He has recently learned to kiss with his mouth closed. Before he would just open it and plant it on my mouth and hold it there. Too sweet!!! This is something he has always done on his own... for some reason he always aims right for my mouth. :o)

Noah Talk

Cracker - KaKar - today at church I walked into the toddler room to find Noah eating a saltine cracker that the workers had given him to eat and I said "Noah, what are you eating?" and the ladies said "a cracker" and then Noah said "Kakar" and then said it 50 more times that evening as I gave him more crackers. :o) So sweet!

On - there is a noise machine in the kids room for sleep-time. Well, the other morning I got Noah out of his crib and turned the machine off and he later pointed at it and said "on". He has since said that a couple of times.

Sleeping Babies

Pictures of Liliana and Noah sleeping are among my most favorite pictures! There is nothing like a sleeping baby!
Below are photos of Liliana the morning after she put a glove on her hand as I tucked her into bed. You will notice how she tossed a little between photos as she was about to wake up for the day.

Priceless! Oh, and check out the infant paci in her mouth! She turns 3 in a few weeks, so we have to get rid of that thing!

Magical Mondays

My pictures did not turn out that great because my battery in my camera was pretty much dead and I just used every last bit of juice it would give me. The pictures look tired. :o)

Above is Liliana checking on her two cats that she brought to watch her dance. The teacher has them bring stuffed animals to watch them dance to prepare them for the real, live audience the day of their recital.
Here Liliana is asking her teacher some big question.

I love this picture!

A Lazy Cozy Day

I think they look so much alike in this (above) picture!
He is going in for a bite... so silly. What is that thing in that nearly 3 year olds' mouth!?

Their hair gets so much static electricity on the couch!
Here they are watching something on TV and she is whining because he is sitting on her. He just made himself cozy. Plus, she did not complain until I came into the room with the camera. There's that germ pit in her mouth again! We normally don't let her have it during the day at all, but Donnie and I both had some kind of stomach bug today, so we let it slide. :o)

Donnie had the best time spending the day with the kids while I got some work done for church. I love this picture!

Noah was just crackin' up walking around with this bowl on his head! The best toys are found in the kitchen! :o)

Noah Learning to Use a Fork

Noah is learning to feed himself with a fork. I will scoop some food onto the fork and then hand it to him to shovel into his mouth. He loves it!
Here he is trying to feed me some chicken enchilada & rice. He likes to feed me. I don't accept just any food he offeres though... lol, some of it is just to cold or slobbery. He likes to place cereal into my mouth. :o)

More Noah Talk

Well, Noah is on a roll and it looks like I may be posting about his new words on a daily basis. He loves to talk!

Down - today I caught Noah and Liliana sitting on the end table and I said "guys, you need to get down" and he says "down, down" and later while in his highchair he threw his banana on the floor and look down at it and said "down" and then when I was getting him out of his highchair he said "down". :o)

Nana - he also says "nana" for banana.

Noah Talk

Today Noah started saying "bye-bye" and "hi" a bunch! He has said "hi" before, but now is saying it a lot! He loves to talk... he is a chattery little guy!

The sweetest!
