HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Elia Jolie Capps

September 14, 2010
9:11 a.m.
9 lbs 9.6 oz
21 inches long
She was born busy sticking her tongue out at us... a long tongue... cracked me up! Love it!
Check out that hand to mouth... she was born with blisters on one of her hands from sucking it so much in the womb. :o)

We did not expect her to surpass Liliana's birth weight of 9 lbs 6 oz... but she did!

She lost over a pound the first 2 days or so... water weight was part of it...

So in LOVE!!!

The day in review: Lloyd and Diane Nott came over to our house at 6:15 a.m. to stay with Liliana and Noah so Donnie and I could be at the hospital at the scheduled 6:30 a.m. time. My surgery was scheduled for 8:40 a.m. with Dr. Lon Manfredi.

One Chapter Comes to a Close

I was just sitting on the couch reflecting upon the past 39 weeks and 2 days and just had to come and blog about it...

Last Christmas I just kept thinking that when I am 80 years old I will wish I would have had ONE more child to fill our family a little more... so we gave God the opportunity to work with that desire and about 4 weeks later, learned I was pregnant with our 3rd child! :o)

The first trimester was very hard due to extreme vomitting and nausea...

The second trimester and most of the third I felt healthier and better than I have ever felt in my life, it seemed! :o) Me, Liliana and Noah spent a lot of time at the pool, both the indoor one at the townhome and at our friends outdoor one at her townhome... once the weather warmed up!

Today was our last day as a family of 4... this emotional preggo moma shed a few sentimental tears but is so ready for the 5th member of the family!

Since I have to be at the hospital in just under 8 hours from now... I better get to bed!!!

Thank you, God, for the family you have blessed us with! It has been extra special to share this pregnancy journey with Liliana and Noah... they are the BEST!!! Thank you for the next chapter we will embark upon as of tomorrow morning when my surgery begins at 8:40 a.m....

Catchin' Up!

The past few weeks I had been really tired with being so huge pregnant and close to my due date... The past 3 days or so I have had a fresh burst of energy and am doing every last minute thing I can possibly think of to be ready for baby #3 and enjoying the last few days of our Family of 4 Dynamic, knowing it will forever change...the day after tomorrow...YAY!!!!! :o)

This photo was taken by a half-willing Liliana in our kitchen on Saturday, August 28th... we had just gotten home from Armando Ramos & Jenn Gundersen's Wedding!

A couple of weeks a go the kids got super creative and played for an hour with their pillow cases:

Liliana's Play Dough Creation:

We Love Tori! She comes to our house about once a week to hang out and help where needed... The kids and I LOVE her! :o)
Noah measuring the closet for Brian Werhle to install shelves...he was totally copying what mommy had just done. He loves that measuring tape!
Why do things the conventional way!? In no time I turned my head from the computer and found Noah's version of a drawing board...stacked books!?
*INSERT: Noah JUST now got a slice of cheese out of the fridge and brought it to me to open for him... He is always rummaging and eating everything!!! My biggest task in preparing for baby has been to babyproof for this guy! We put a lock on the outside of our food pantry door, which has helped tremendously already!
Noah found one of the hats he wore when he was a baby...too cute!

Random Cuteness over the past couple of weeks:

One day out of nowhere Liliana bursted out what she wants to be when she grows up. She wants to take care of and feed all of the doggies in the whole wide world, play video games on a big screen (she had been playing Dora on the Wii and decided it would make a good profession, I guess...haha), and she wants to be a shepherd and take care of sheep. I LOVE her love for animals!

Noah calls Blues Clues "Clues Clues": Our neighbor lady has a doggie and has paw-print magnets on the back of her car... one evening Noah was yelling at the back of her car parked by her house saying "A Clue, A Clue!"... I was perplexed until I saw the paw-print... AWE! He finds "clues" all over Liliana's Littlest Pet Shop toys too.

Liliana LOVES Littlest Pet Shop. She doesn't want all of them in the whole world because that is not good, you need to leave some for all the other kids in the world. Love that attitude and conciousness!

Noah loves making me food to eat out of the dirt pile in the back yard. Last night he ran all the way from way back to the front of the yard to bring me a handful of dirt and small rocks or as he called it "M&M's" AWE!!!

Our Babies

Usually, Donnie and I put both kids to bed together but this time Liliana went to bed about an hour earlier than Noah because he took a good 2 hour nap....So I put L to bed and Donnie just brought Noah to bed and as I just watched my baby boy walk up the stairs to go to bed, tears flooded my eyes... why does life have to go by so fast!?

Earlier, when I put Liliana to bed I layed down and talked with her for a few minutes and we got to talking about heaven and Jesus and God and how much they love her and she was trying to make them laugh... so sweet! She was smiling as big as she could for them to see her and laugh at her. I told her that they were looking at her saying "She is the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world and we LOVE her SO MUCH!" Hehehe... Then I thought to ask her who wakes up in the morning first, her or Noah and she thought and finally said "me" and I said "what do you do when you wake up? Do you wake Noah up?" and she said "yes, I look over at him and gently say 'Noah, it's morning time, time to wake up'". I then told her it is probably best for her to not wake him up and just let him sleep as long as he needs to. She said "why?" and I said "well, does it bother you when Noah wakes you up in the mornings?" and she said "no, nothing Noah does bothers me because I love him so much." AWE!!!!!!!! She really does love him SO much and vice versa... I see it in the many little things they do... in how patient Liliana is with him and in how he loves to snuggle with her on the couch. They are so sweet and loving towards each other!
