Can you see why I catch myself calling Elia "Noah"?

WOW!

When I asked Donnie who was who, he confidently said the first one was Elia and the second one was Noah and I said smiled big and said "huh...hehe..." and he said "oh, wait, this one is Noah because he is wearing blue." ha, so if he were not wearing the obvious boy color, the distinction would be even more unclear.

When I asked Liliana who was who, whithout hesitation, she said "they are both baby Elia". Love this!

I truly have called Elia "Noah" without realizing it so many times since she was born until now and I catch myself amazed at their resemblance. :o)

Noah's Nap Today

I just sang our sweet boy to sleep!!! The sweetest thing ever! I always write about how much he LOVES to be sung to, but to watch him begin to snore within minutes right before my eyes to the ABC song (his request) was just the sweetest think ever! Almost felt a little miraculous...AWE!

Donnie has actually been doing this for the past few nights as I have surrendered Noah's bedtime challenges to him...ha! Donnie is the sweetest and most amazing Daddy in the whole entire world, ever...tears...awe!!! Last night I had a meeting at church and was only gone for an hour and a half and when I got home, he already had lights out and the room smelled so good, like the kids were so clean from the bath he gave them and the lotion he lathered on them...he said that when he was rubbing the lotion on Noah's feet, Noah said "feels good". AWE!!!

DADDY, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!! XOXOXOXOXOX!!!

Interesting Naps

Noah is over 2 now and ever since he has graduated to his twin bed has not had the same napping habits. He will still take 2 hour naps, but not as consistently. So, often times naptime consists of a few hours of getting nowhere with it. Awe! =\

Friday, after hours of trying at home, he fell asleep in the van on the way to drop Liliana off at Alley's house. He was fast asleep and because they live a good 20 minutes away, he got a good nap in, he slept all the way there and back!

Today, I spied on him to see if he had fallen asleep at naptime and this is what I found!!! He had the light on and was sound asleep!!! He has a miserable cold, so I guess this must have felt good on his sinuses!? AWE!!! I couldn't believe it! Too sweet!!! Such a SWEET boy!!!

BIG Personality!

My little man! What a big personality! Check out the waffle on his thumb!

Always busy! A good, calm, quiet and focused busy! He is the sweetest EVER! Such a good boy! He knows his boundaries and is most of the time so good about staying within them. He is never worried, distracted or concerned about the crowd around him, very independent and set apart.

He loves anything that goes up/down, in/out, open/close, on/off, full/empty. Typical 19 month old stuff.

Here he is napping on Liliana's bed. Liliana was at Auntie Joy's with Emma so I decided to let Noah try out sleeping on a twin bed. He is the cutest sleeper ever!

Noah loves to put on shoes. It is usually one of the very first things he does in the morning when we get downstairs. He goes right into the coat closet and finds this pair of shoes and puts them on. Way too cute!!! Here he is opening the coat closet with one of the shoes on.

He is a big talker with big personality! His newest thing is to keep the last bit of whatever he just ate in his mouth forEVER! He will keep his mouth shut full of food and drool for a good hour before he either suddenly opens his mouth due to crying over a toy or swallows it for a bite of something else later. Ha! :o)

This is what Noah does when he is tired. He puts one hand (4 fingers) in his mouth and says "ayayayayaya" and plays with his hair with his other hand. Notice the accessories. lol. He loves to try things on, shoes, headbands, sunglasses, hats, anything! He has one ear bent in this one. Ahh!

Here his is on the way home from church today. No shorts - diaper leaked. Chocolate on his cheek and a bite of chocolate chip waffle from the toddler room in his mouth - for the past 40 minutes!!! Yucky! Ha! Liliana's sunglasses.

Noah's personality depicts the meaning of his name - exactly! Peace and rest. He has always be a very peaceful guy and at rest with whatever is going on around him.

I am so in love! *Sigh*

WhaaSay???

Liliana has been in and out of this "WhaaSay?" phase lately. On vacation she did it bad - it became a family joke. Donnie and I began asking her "whaasay?" haha!!! :o)

WhaaSay - What Did You Say - all mushed into one annoying word! :o) lol

Speaking of vacation, we had the BEST time having Donnie around for a good long week. It was wonderful to see him TOTALLY take a break and relax from work, etc. He is a very hard worker and is all-consumed with the ministry, so it was wonderful to see him take a true break. I am proud of him. He is the best husband and daddy I could ever dream of! The kids, especially Noah really LOVED having him around so much. Noah really became a "daddy's boy"! So sweet! We hit the pool a few times and the parks and Donnie and I had some good ole' movie nights together. One of the ones we watched was Valkiere (spelling)... it was excellent.

I had a meeting at church today so Diane Nott hung out with the kids for a couple of hours. Noah was having a little trouble giving in to naptime so she gave him the giant soft Elmo to snuggle. It worked!

Look at that red hair! :o) The outlines of the dinosaurs and their eyes on these pajamas glow in the dark. Liliana kept wanting to "see the lights", so she would bring him into the dark bathroom downstairs and shut him in there with her. He did not like this! :o) So sweet!

Sleeping Babies

Pictures of Liliana and Noah sleeping are among my most favorite pictures! There is nothing like a sleeping baby!

Below are photos of Liliana the morning after she put a glove on her hand as I tucked her into bed. You will notice how she tossed a little between photos as she was about to wake up for the day.

Priceless! Oh, and check out the infant paci in her mouth! She turns 3 in a few weeks, so we have to get rid of that thing!

Noah has been taking long cozy naps for the past couple of days. I think it is a combo of teething, growing :o) & just the sleepiness of wintertime snowdays. I took this photo on 1/17/09 at 3:21 p.m. Way too precious!

Noah fell asleep on the way home from church today. Irresistably sweet!
