Noah News

Noah came to my room first thing this morning and said is a super proud and happy voice: "I sleep in my underwear, Mommy". WHEW! :o) Daddy and I have forgotten to put his pull-up on before bed a few times and some nights it works out fine and others it ends up a soggy ordeal in the wee hours of the night. :o)

When we got home from the museum he went potty and when he went to put his little jeans back on he said "can I have them the wrong way like Jump Jump?"... he noticed on the Wii game that the guys on th Dance 2 game have their pants on backwards for the song Jump by CrissCross... haha! :o) Donnie wore his pants backwards during that era in the 90's. ha!

Museum Pass

We bought a museum pass for this year and made our first trip out today. We went to the closest one, the Lutz Children's Museum, since it was snowing. The kids loved it and so did I! :o) It is a smaller museum, which makes for a cozy and safe-feeling environment for the kids to just enjoy themselves. Our sweet neighbors met us there. They are a family of five, just like us with a girl age 4, a boy age 2 and a baby boy, born 8 days before Elia. We were there for 2 hours and Noah did not want to leave even after that amount of time! I was kicking myself for not bringing my camera but will bring it next time for some cute shots! :o)

Project 365 Week 4

Monday, January 17th
See our handsome boy's "bubble. :o) This "laptop" case was Donnie's old dvd case... we gave it to Noah for his toy laptop he got for Christmas and he loves it! He feels big like daddy and says he going to work. He has slept with it numerous times.

Tuesday, January 18th

No picture - I think we were iced in all day this day... Daddy stayed home due to the dangerous driving conditions... we played LOTS of Dance 2 and Mario Kart. FUN!

Wednesday, January 19th

He wanted to wear Liliana's fairy costume... it didn't last long though, I guess it just didn't feel right... ha! :o)

Thursday, January 20th

No Picture... hmm? :o)

Friday, January 21st

Liliana learned to write 4 words this week. Here is a test I put together. I drew the picture and she got a big star for 4 out of 4 correct!

Elia sucked her thumb and fell asleep on the living room floor. She is amazing! So good at soothing herself and just the sweetest thing ever! :o) See the toy on her arm...

Saturday, January 22nd

We enjoyed taco soup for lunch, left over from the night before and Noah really got into the theme...

Sunday, January 23rd

We had a CCIF/CCIBI graduation banquet at church tonight where I was one of 4 ministers brought forward to public recognition of our credentialing as newly licsenced ministers. I have known the call of God upon my life since I was 18, so that is something I have walked in and been doing ever since, but I finally stepped out this past year to make it "official" with the Assemblies of God. They joyfully recieved me and recognized God's calling upon my life and were SO encouraging and excited to see what God has in store for me in the days and years to come!
Praise Jesus!!! :o) A very special day for me! The banquet was lovely and eveyone in attendance was incredibly encouraging and supportive.

Motherhood's Cure

Day in and day out, this house if filled with the sounds of life and I love every bit of it! I feel that the more the merrier is so true and it is truly more blessed to give than to recieve. After having a third child, the last bit of "selfishness" has been stripped from my inner being (at least for the moment...wink, wink). I find myself filled with a more constant and steadfast joy in my heart no matter what time of day or night it is, God enables me to rise to the beckoning of a needing child. I have been seeking this type of contentment for years but it came in a way I would have never imagined... it can to me through motherhood.

Now... watch me have a grumpy day...hahaha! I know I have totally NOT "arrived", and never will but what I expressed above is God's beauty and I thought I would write it down while my heart is so full! :o)

Who's Who? N or E

Can you see why I catch myself calling Elia "Noah"?

WOW!
When I asked Donnie who was who, he confidently said the first one was Elia and the second one was Noah and I said smiled big and said "huh...hehe..." and he said "oh, wait, this one is Noah because he is wearing blue." ha, so if he were not wearing the obvious boy color, the distinction would be even more unclear.
When I asked Liliana who was who, whithout hesitation, she said "they are both baby Elia". Love this!
I truly have called Elia "Noah" without realizing it so many times since she was born until now and I catch myself amazed at their resemblance. :o)

God Moment

The other night Liliana told me:

"So-and-so told me that she was prettier than me because she had a beautiful dress on, but I knew in my head that was night right because God says we are all beautiful no matter what we have on."

Wow! Wow! Thank you, Jesus that our precious 4 year old is so solid in who she is in Christ and has the grace to look past someone elses comment because she is so set in the truth of who God says she is!

The Sweet Scoop - 4 months

Elia had her four month well-visit. She weighed in at 15 lbs, 12 oz. and 24 1/2 inches long. She did wonderful at her visit and the nurse and Doctor ADORED her... the nurse, Lisa talked to her a bunch and Dr. Freedman asked her if she would stay at the office for the day and let them watch her.... AWE!!! I love how loving they are. :o)

So, Elia is a busy love bug.
She loves to sing.
Dolly is her favorite... I will post a photo of her soon.
She reaches for her toys and our food all the time and is successful sometimes... she looks very interested in our food, so I am excited about starting her on solids on Valentine's Day, her 5 month birthday.
She is still not fond of belly time.
She is still an amazing sleeper and just the sweetest and easiest baby EVER!!!
She is laughing now but does not seem to enjoy having her ribs tickled... I don't blame her, I do not like it either! She loves for me to eat her feet and tickle them.
She loves to attack mommy's face and slobber all over it.
She also grabs mommy's neck - OUCH.. :o)
No teeth yet... Liliana had 2 teeth in her 4th month and Noah had four teeth in his fourth month.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE you, our SWEET Elia Jolie and are so blessed to have you in our family!!! XOXOXOXOX

Project 365 Week 3

Monday, January 10th
I usually gets to sleep in on Mondays and Daddy makes my breakfast fresh for me when I make my sleepy way down the stairs. We love french toast!

Liliana went on a date with daddy. They went bowling and had a blast!
She picked up this ball a couple of times... yay!

Here's for you, mom/Grandma! :o)

Tuesday, January 11th
Liliana went to Auntie Joy's to play with Emma and I took Noah and Elia to the mall to play. Noah was so cute playing so respectfully and quietly... at one point he reached deep into his pocket while looking up at a lady who wasn't paying any attention and he pulled out something to show her... as I watched with anticiaption of what on earth he was digging out of his pocket I was shocked to see....MY iPOD!!!! I jumped up and walked right over there and said "Noah, give me mommy's iPod, you can only have this at home" and he said "okay, mommy". hahah! :o)
Later that day we had snuggle time!

Wednesday, January 12th
We had a blizzard... here we have 25" inches of snow on the ground.

Thursday, Janurary 13th
Elia's new chair! We found it used for half the price! :o)

Sweet feet!
Friday, January 14th
Definitely an underwear on the head kind of a day! :o) Noah had a fever for about 2 days...since we had gone to the germy mall to play...and Mommy was getting cabin fever. :o) Mommy loves being home but loves to be out and about too! :o) Mommy is a big social bug and needs her regular social fix. :o)
Saturday, January 15th
Liliana has recently learned how to blow bubbles with her gum! So cute!
Noah just sticks his wad of gum out of his lips and thinks it is a bubble and gets all excited...hehe!
Lots of coloring!!! Noah is really into coloring and writing lately... he writes lots of "letters" and Liliana loves to try to write words.

Sunday, January 16th
Home another day as Liliana was up coughing the night before... so we stayed in for a "get-well" day full of cozy naps. :o)
LOVE these feet!

All 4 of us played with Liliana's PetShops! I love those little guys, I am a sucker for those and stuffed animals! Elia had a little cold too... she looks sleepy here... awe!
After the kids all had their long cozy naps, we had the Nott's over and had a blast!!! Lloyd is like a big kid and the kids love it! They played hard.

Project 365 Week 1 & 2

Saturday, January 1st
So, we went to church today and had a wonderful time. It was our first time back to the Saturday evening service since Elia was born (we had been going to the 11:15 to work around her sleep schedule)... Well, everyone loved meeting Elia and talking to her and she had the best time talking to them... she actually wore herself out and after about 20 people. Elia was dressed so cute with her little soft booties on... well, when we got home from church I took them off to change her diaper and look what I found inside of her shoe!...A BUNNY... one of Liliana's missing Polly Pocket pets... HOW CUTE IS THAT!?!? :o)

Mommy and Liliana had fun painting... this is mommy's... I post this to show my mommy... photos do not give paintings any justice... nonetheless, here it is:

Sunday, January 2nd
Watchin' something...??...just before bedtime. Look at all that drool on her sweet chin!
Monday, January 3rd

Friday, January 7th
A fun-filled-super-sweet day at home! AWE!
So sorry, L for catching you here in the background...every kid's gotta dig now and then.

Creative fun! Napping in laundry baskets??

Homeade turtles...hehe!

Pure cuteness!

Home Salon featuring Nails by Noah: Liliana did one foot and did a neat job and this is the foot Noah did. I have tiny feet, so yes, this is mommy's foot.

Baked an apple pie together!

Saturday, January 8th

Random morning nap on the couch... so COZY!

OUR HOUSE! FINALLY A PHOTO OF OUR HOUSE!

The kids and I played hard in the snow with our neighbors accross the street! So much fun!

Noah covering his sister with the heart blanket. He loves this blanket... he sleeps with it at night.

Sunday, January, 9th

Winding down before bed time. Noah looking at Elia's very long fingernails... they grow so fast. Noah tried biting them off, probably safer than those crazy nail clippers.
