Noah's 1st Birthday!

I am SO EXCITED about this post!
Today we celebrated:
Noah Jack Capps'
1st Birthday!

Liliana helped mommy make these beautiful and delicious cupcakes!

Yes - we did! We had one of Noah's most favorite foods for his birthday meal... bean burritos from Taco Bell! :o) He loves beans - he is my "beanie baby". Ha! :o)

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday Dear Noah!
Happy Birthday to you!

"What is this most delicious delicacy and what is it doing to me... I feel as if I could float through the skies on this sugar high!" He was so cute - he was zoned out from the sugar... he mostly just ate the frosting... he was wagging his head back and forth like he was drunk on sugar. He was so laid back though the whole evening... just the same sweet Noah as always... very calm and reserved. His favorite toy he got was the hammer daddy got him.

"Good job on the cupcakes mom! You are the bomb!"
At the end of the day Noah climbed out from behind the couch with one of his new toy cars and I said to him for the 100th time, "Happy Birthday, Noah, Happy Birthday" and he said "happy"!!!
He said "happy" for the first time on his First Birthday... Diane Nott was standing right there with me and heard him say it too!

One Year Ago...

About a week or two before Noah was born, we were hanging out talking to Liliana about what was about to transpire and she gave him a kissy-quick (family term, Donnie and I made up). :o)
The Reverend Donnie Capps all scrubbed in ready for surgery.

There is NOTHING sweeter than this!
Photos courtesy of the Anesthesiologist - he was really cool! He had his iPod going through the whole thing - lightened things up a little and helped me relax through the c-section.

The first time I laid eyes on my baby boy! I will never forget how warm he was when I laid my lips upon his precious cheek.

Liliana meeting Noah for the first time!
She has been the sweetest big sister from day one! She looks so little in this picture! She has grown so much over the past year! Wow!

Our Dearest Noah!
Love!

Bedtime Prayers

Liliana just a couple of days ago has gotten into this super-silly, weird thing where she loves to have her armpits scratched - ha - I feel tickled just thinking about it! hehe! :o) She will just stand there with her arm up in the air and have you scratch it while she focuses so hard on not laughing. :o) Well, tonight right smack in the middle of her bedtime prayers, she said to God among the things she is thankful for somewhere after Pastor Bill... "and for scratching my armpits".

Toddlers... who needs a TV!?

The Lion - by My Little Artist

The other day Liliana asked me to draw a Lion. It is the orange drawing on the left. Well the next day at random Liliana drew the lion on the right... of course I am biased, but that is one awesome lion!!! :o)

Oh, Rescue Pack!...

Liliana loves Diego! She watches the same Diego video over and over again. Well, lately she has been talking a lot about her rescue pack. Whenever any type of "situation" arises (i.e. Noah fusses, etc.), she says she will just get her rescue pack and will take care of whatever needs to be done to fix the situation.

Well, last night we went to some friends' house for dinner and Daddy and Liliana went out to the van and I got to talking and took my time getting out there to meet them... well, they were stuck out in the cold because I had the van keys and then Donnie realized he had a set too and told Liliana:

"I have an idea"

and she then said "I have an idea too, Daddy..."

Daddy: "what's that honey?"

Liliana: "I'll get my rescue pack."

What's Noah Up To???

Helpin' himself to the Sierra Mist in the fridge.

Playin' the put the paci in Liliana's mouth game that they just made up on the spot.

Eatin' crackers! Yummy!

On mommy's cell phone. "let's call dada"

Helpin' himself to the empty milk jug in the trash!

In the fridge again... if you need to get something out if the fridge, do it quick before Noah snatches something. :o)

Everything is a phone. This is a play business card... he was walking around talking on it. :o)

So sweet!!!

On the house phone now.

"Mommy I NEED your 100% undivided attention at ALL times!" :o) "2 feet is too far away... hold me now!"
Love!

Liliana is the sweetest

I had to run to the computer to post this before I forgot the exact words she said.....

Our friends, the Sehi's just had their baby yesterday. Well, Liliana loves the Sehi's and has heard us talking about how they had their baby... we went to dinner with them the night before Tucker was born, so it is all fresh in Liliana's mind. Katie's belly was so big. :o)

Well, just now, Liliana starts talking about the Sehi's and I said "they have a baby now, Liliana, isn't that great", and she said "yeah, I want one too..... I have one" and pointed at Noah and said "he's a baby" with a big smile and said "I want to hold him and put him in my belly so he can grow."

SO SWEET!!!

Baby Updates

Noah is working on 4 molars at once - yes, 4! He just doesn't mess around with those teeth! He did the same thing with his last 4! He has eight now and working on 4 more!

Noah is DONE with his pacifier! Yes, as of about 5 days ago - he just turned his head and made a face when I tried to give it to him a couple of times. Now I just have to get Liliana to give hers up... uhhh.... hmmm... :o)

Noah ia a total walking dude now! :o) Today at church he walked into Guest Central and was just checking the place out and then I grabbed his hand to walk him out and I had one of those moments... this one was where I just thought and said to myself... "one day he may be a pastor walking into this room". I love those sweet moments. :o)

Blogging

I love blogging! I love what a friend recently said in her blog that time goes by slower when you take the time to blog each and every day - that is SO true! I (we) have been too busy the past week or so and I did not like being so busy. I like to keep a good handle on the sentiment of each day and the many simple things that are really so huge when you take the time to pay attention and appreciate them! When life gets to busy it almost feels like walking the dog but losing hold of the leash... it is a much calmer and enjoyable walk when you keep a hold of what it going on.

This is especially true for me in this season of life. Noah is about to turn 1 soon and I just want time to stand still so I can have more time to cherish my babies while they are still babies. Yes, I do embrace change and enjoy each and every phase, but there is something very special about the dependence of a baby to his mommy. I once told a friend that heaven to me would be to be able to in a sense re-live these years spent with my babies! I mean that with all my heart. I have enjoyed and am enjoying every moment! Thank you Jesus! :o)

Stickers from the Doctor's Office

This is what Liliana does with the stickers from the doctor's office. :o) It is so cute because we often forget they are there until later in the day and we are like "ha - there is a sticker on your belly - hehe!".

Nothin to do with Mardi Gras...

Liliana and Noah playing with the hand-me-down jewelry someone gave her. She even tried it on Noah and the train... :o)
