Sweet Superheros!

The other morning Noah said Elia wanted to wear his Batman shirt, so he took it off himself, since he wore it to bed the night before and I put it on her... So sweet! Noah acts as Elia's interpreter and it is SO cute because he says things what she wants and what she is saying and thinking. Today when Liliana handed her a stuffed animal to comfort her from crying, Noah said "I think she want a real stuffed animal that talks and moved by itself."
Noah also still...for as long as he has been able to speak words has talked about his "mom's" house...today as we headed home from our family outing he said "when am I gonna get to go to my mom's house?" totally cracks me UP!!!! :) hahaha! I have no idea where he gets this from but he has the biggest imagination!!
He also talks about his school that he goes to, very matter of fact! ;)

Project 365 Week 45

The first few days are in the post on Storm Alfred.  We stayed at the home of some wonderful friends from our church.  Their hospitality was matchless!  We felt SO LOVED and SO BLESSED to be in their home for 5 nights.  :)

Wednesday, November 2nd
A tree down in our neighborhood.
Thursday, November 3rd
Angel and the kids.

Their front yard is perfect for sledding!
Their house is a true fairy tale house... colorful and charming!
They loved the doggy's bed!  haha!  I told Donnie we should buy one for our house!
We went for a walk and Noah took the cat he borrowed from the library... he loved this cat/his baby!  :)

"Best Mommy Ever"

Said Liliana just now after she gave me a kiss and reminisced shopping with Daddy last year for the lovely pajamas I have on.

Storm Alfred

Sunday, October 30th
after the first night without power:
So, this is what we woke up to see the morning after Strom Alfred hit... this is after the evening of a fun snowball war with neighbors and a long eery, powerless, cold night of loudly snapping tree limbs...
This is the view from our side porch to our front tree.
Limbs, weighed down with heavy snow...
Sometime in the night, Donnie moved the cars into the middle of the back yard to help prevent damage from the giant falling limbs... Good thing he did this!

After I went out to take pictures of the damage... it was time for FUN!

Kissing their snowman... (Mom, these are the candies and gumballs you bought the kids at the Dollar Tree when you were here... didn't they come in handy for this snow-guy!?)  :)
Monday, October 31st
After the second night with no power... bundled up!  haha!  Elia put these earmuffs on herself.  :)
I played songs from my iPod that I just charged in Donnie's car and we had craft-time... Noah looked out to see the tree limbs on the ground and he said "the trees are sleeping"... awe!
A little wild-warm-bundled up - John Lennon lookin' chicky... man, she has style!  Look at Elia and Noah on the floor behind her with their instruments all bundled up.  :)  They are so cute!  Thankful for the battery operated toys!  :)
I had never been so delighted in all my life to see HOT COFFEE!!!  :)  Donnie went out to "hunt" for some coffee and when he noticed the two-mile line at the McDonalds, he looked over to see there was no one at the Subway... YAY!!!  YUMMY, HOT breakfast and coffee... perfect day!  :)
Lots more about storm week to come in Project 365... wanted to kick it off with this seperate post since I had so many pictures.

Saturday,October 29th
Busy and Blessed day of ministry... I did a comedy piece at the Keenager breakfast in the morning then headed over to a lay person's 40th birthday celebration to say a few words as one of her minister friends. Around noon, while at the Birthday lunch... it began to snow and quickly became thick and heavy... storm Alfred, who caused much damage and 98% (or so) loss of power throughout CT and the entire Northeast.  See, it is NOT supposed to snow like that until the leaves have fallen... the leaves are changing and falling VERY late this year... and when heavy snow falls and sticks on the many leaves it causes the branches to break from the weight... a scary sound to be heard throughout the cold dark night... Good news is that Liliana, Noah and I went out to play in the snow before things got bad and two neighbor families joined us in our backyard for a real snowball WAR!  It was SO much fun and  a real bonding time!  :)  Daddy stayed in with Elia since I do not yet have a snowsuit for her.  Here is his view from the kitchen window just before the neighbors joined us.... we were working on a snowguy!  :)
