Project 365 Week 34

Sunday, August 14th

This is where I have been finding Elia... hehe... we do our best to keep the toilet lid down and the bathroom door shut. :)

Monday, August 15th

A woodchuck in our backyard! Liliana cried the whole time (15 minutes) he was out there because I wouldn't let her run out there to pet him... she LOVES animals! :) Emma was here with us today. I took a video of this little guy eating. Our first time baking homeade blueberry muffins! YUMMY! We used our hand-picked blueberries! The kids love helping me cook! :) We had such a wonderful day! Blueberry muffins, Emma over, woodchuck, I cooked a pot of Taco Soup to have on hand, Diane watched the kids for a couple hours so I could run errands, we had dinner at our neighbors house! So blessed!!!

Tuesday, August 16th

Liliana on the phone with Grandma.

Wednesday, August 17th - no picture, but THRILLED that Daddy will be home in less than 48 hours! :)

Thursday, August 18th

Big sister did some accessorizing with her LPS stickers...

Friday, August 19th

DONNIE/DADDY IS HOME!!!!! BOY WERE WE ALL THRILLED!!! :)

Saturday, August 20th

Liliana put Elia in this chair and she sat in it so well! What a big girl! ;)

LOVE this face!!! The sun was in her eyes... we were at the playground at Liliana's school. We brought Little Ceasar's pizza (love it cuz it is SO cheap!)... we ate out on the grass and then played for a bit to help Liliana get acclimated to the school grounds.

Then played a little more in the yard when we got home. I love Elia's Elmo shirt... I got it at Target on Clearance...

Liliana's BIG Girl Tooth ... SEE it back there pushing her baby tooth in front out! I love looking at it and always ask her to show me her teeth. She will even catch me looking at it sometimes and will say "you were just looking at my tooth, weren't you?" :) Such a big milestone! She is getting to be such a big kid! AWE!!! :)

Casey's POOL!

We meet up with Casey at her POOL at least once or twice a week... Over the past 2 or 3 visits, Liliana has been SWIMMING without a floatie!!! She has been swimming under water and diving in from the steps like a dolphin and just a BEAUTIFUL SWIMMER!!! In watching Liliana, Noah gained confidence to do the same and he soon took of his floatie and last night just started SWIMMING too... head under, swimming! :) Manny, then followed in Noah's path and went through 3 phases yesterday, shedding the layers to become a swimmer, just the same! It was a very "magical" evening for Casey and I to watch our kids swimming in such a way last night... a beautiful and oh, so SPECIAL evening of MILESTONES!

Here are a couple of photos of us in the pool today... it was 101 degees out, feeling like 106, but we did it for the kids! Whew! :)

Sweet Elia

Our sweet Elia is SO busy these days!
She has hardly napped the past couple of days because she is so interested in her environment and learning to crawl and wanting to stand and learn to walk.
She went from a very predictable napping schedule of 9 a.m. - 11 or 12 a.m. and an afternoon nap of 1 - 3 hours to taking two 20 minute naps yesterday!
A few days ago she had her first full fussy day yet and that says a lot being that she is now 7 months old! She is such an amazing and easy going baby who hardly ever fusses or cries! But that day it was non-stop... fussy-pants... hehe... Well, that evening she went down for a nap at 5 p.m. and slept until 8 a.m. the next morning, only waking briefly to eat a couple of times... making it a 15 hour stretch of sleep... growth spurt!!! :)
She loves to stand, to the point to where she gets upset if you sit her on the floor... ha! Other babies her age are not even sitting independently yet and she is standing! Busy Girl! :)
She doesn't really like the jumperoo much anymore.
She scoots around on her belly, rocks on her hands and knees, sits, stands at the couch or with you holding one of her hands. She pulls herself up to standing and climbs up on our laps.
About a week ago she started to articulate more sounds... "Bah, Gah, Dah...Dada" Yes! She is saying "Dada"!!!
I have pictures of all of these things and will post them once I get my new computer going...

One cute story for now:
The weather has been gorgeous these days! 70's and even 80 the day before yesterday. Well, that day after much playtime outside, Elia and I headed to Stop-N-Shop together for a few items. We had THE SWEETEST time!!!! We took Daddy's blue care, which she is not accustom to since we are always in the van with Liliana and Noah... It was a super-sweet quiet ride there being just the two of us and when we were almost there I heard a little noise from Elia and turned and said "Elia, you okay??" and then she busted out crying, so sweet... Mommy knew exactly what her cry said... "Where are we, where are we going, where are Liliana and Noah, why is it so quiet, I am not used to this Mommy!?" :) So sweet!!! She did the same thing on the way home just around the corner from the house. While we were in the store, we had the sweetest time... I just adored her and how sweet and little and beautiful and sweet she was sitting up so big, yet so little in the shopping cart!!! I did not have my phone or camera, so no pics but sweet images in my mind.
Sigh... I live for moments like these!!! My heart is so blessed and so full and so thankful!!! :)

Project 365 Week 12

It is amazing to me how even when doing Project 365, I still feel like there are so many things I leave out... Like Elia has her second bottom tooth... she has had it for about 3 weeks now.

This week she has been a big milestone week in that she is clapping now and rolling over. She has rolled over 3 times so far, so it is not her choice for transportation, but she can do it. :) She loves to sit for long intervals, I don't know, half an hour at a time, all day... she bounces on her bottom when she is sitting like she is getting ready to lunge forward and start crawling. When she is on her belly, she finds her way around by scooting and kicking her legs to reach things. She also loves her Jumperoo so much and when you hold her in your lap she loves to bounce on her bum and jump and lunge forward towards things and people out of reach. All in all, she is a busy girl, still showing a great sense of independence, patience about life and the sweetest, quiet content disposition ever. AWE! So, Week 12, here we go...

March 13, 14 & 15

No Picture...???... I have no idea how that happened! :) March 14th was Elia's 6 month birthday.
Wednesday, March 16th
Bath/Chore Day... ha. Here is Elia watching the kids take a bath.

Elia's first time eating squash and she LOVED it! She was diving in for each bite and ate up the whole container!
Thursday, March 17th
Sait Patrick's Day! :)
Here the kids are awaiting a surprise from mommy...

Gardening Gloves! Yay! It was so nice out! We played/worked in they yard ALL day! Then topped it off with a walk around the nearby pond with our neighbor friends. :)
Donnie and his friend took the tent down and made a couple of dump runs. It is so clean now... the was before the final clean-up of the day. FUN!
The kids also got rakes... I love Christmas Tree Shops! :)
Love this picture, the sun was in her eyes. AWE! Look at that dimple...
Friday, March 18th
Another nice day! We spend a few hours at the park that morning. Liliana spent a lot of her time on the swings learning to pump. She was so proud!
Neighbor Friends at the park with us joined us for a little stroll. We had LOTS of friends join us at the park for a "reunion"... fun!

I did not realize till I saw these photos how uncomfortable Elia looks. AWE... I think I need to tighten the seatbelt or something. :)
Conked, nonetheless... and baby socks just don't stay on. :)
Remote time later that day. YUM! Ha!
Saturday, March 19th
Big milestones! I brought Elia to the nursery at church for the first time. I stayed in there with her most of the time, but she did not even flinch a bit about it! AT ALL... she just sat there and played and interacted with the other kids, all much bigger than her. She smiled and played uninhibitedly (a word?)... She is so content, secure, peaceful, friendly, social and simply uninhibited in every way. I love her!!! :)
Not only was this a milestone day at church for Elia, but mostly for Mommy as it was also Liliana's last day at church as a 4 year old... AWE... she is getting so big!!! Mommy had a few moments of reflection and tears today as we take big steps forward... AWE!
