Stop the Press!

Our SWEET baby girl has not yet rolled over either way, but she has been eager to sit up on her own for a couple of months now and over the past 2 weeks has worked her way to a new found independence. She LOVES to sit up by herself and look around and play with her toys. AWE!!! It is so cute to see how she is doing things in her own way... like, she has never liked laying on me on her belly, she likes to lay on her side across my lap or on her back. Liliana and Noah loved to nap on thier belly's over my chest and Donnie's, but not Elia. :) Liliana and Noah also both rolled over VERY early by thier 2nd month and our Elia has not rolled over once... I tease that she will skip the whole rolling and crawling thing and just stand up one day and start walking. Our friend, Diane, also teases that she will not have a first word, but will have a first sentence as she seems so eager to have a big conversation with everyone she meets. She is the cutest and the sweetest and I am LOVING every moment! :)

Dear Liliana

Dear Liliana,

Hi! :) It is 11:05 pm and I should be in bed sleeping right now, but before I go up to dream the night away I want to spend a few moments to document some of the super-sweet and amazing things God has been doing in your heart lately. :)

Thursday, February 24th as I was tucking you, Liliana, in to bed and saying bedtime prayers with you, you rolled over and whispered privately, "Jesus, Come into my heart...", then rolled back over and said "guess what I just prayed"... and then told me. AWE! You did this all on your own accord.

We always pray before we go anywhere that God would help us to be sweet, and gentle and to share and to show God's love to everyone we meet.

You have been praying this prayer over every meal for as long as I can remember... at least the past year... "Thank you Jesus, for this food, help our bodies to be nice and strong, Amen." Now Noah prays this prayer too, even at bedtime, hehe.

At bedtime prayers we (me, you and Noah) say "Goodnight, Jesus!" and we blow Him a big kiss and give Him a big air-hug.

Every time you hear an ambulance, you pray for the people who have a booboo and if you see someone's car stuck in the snow, you pray for God to help them get it out. So sweet! :)

The other day as we were driving in the van you asked me why God made bees to sting us. :) Since this question came out of the blue as we were parking somewhere, I gave the best answer that popped into my head, that "God did not make the bees to sting us on purpose, but sometimes bees get scared and sting us". While this answer is true, I gave you the technical theological answer two days later when you asked me why God made bears to bite us. :) I told you that it all roots back to when Adam and Eve decided to disobey God and bite the apple. I talked to you about how that first act of disobedience caused all of God's creatures to start doing bad things and so that is why animals sometimes do things to hurt people. And that most of the times animals do harmful things to humans because they get scared.

You have also been asking me a lot about how God made everything... like "how did God make people"... "hair, teeth, skin, trees, paper, leaves, etc..." :)

All in all, I am LOVING every moment and am SO SO HONORED that God has placed you in our lives and am beyond thankful that God is using me to have these very special talks with you! You are a very tenderhearted person and have some very thoughtful questions. You are an AMAZING girl and I LOVE YOU BEYOND MEASURE!!!!!!!

XOXOX!
Mommy...
Now off to bed so I can have lots of energy for our big day tomorrow... everyday is a big day for us! ha! :)

Project 365 Week 10

Sunday, February 27th
Sink Fun!

Diane watched the kids for me for a couple hours so I could teach a class at church and run to Target by myself. She left a pair of her cheaters here... I only let L play with them for a few minutes... they are a mild pair... sweet little granny... hehe! They had so much fun with Diane, they did not want her to leave.
Monday, February 28th
We went to Wallingford and hit the SONIC... YUMMMM!!!!!!! We are so super excited that we are getting one in Manchester this summer! Our lives will be forever changed as we will then be 100% at home... Sonic is one of the Southern comforts we really miss. :o) After Sonic, we hit the Wal-Mart Supercenter

Love this face... like she is thinking "Hmmm, not sure about this bow mom..." ha!

Tuesday, March 1st
KidCity! We LOVE our museum pass... one of the best $100 a family could spend... Endless fun for an entire year! Their sweet little friend Jeremiah is on seesaw with them...

This is the sweetness I am greeted with when I arrived home and opened the back door to the van... Pure SWEETness!
I found a new form of entertainment for Elia... she's watchin' the kids play in the bathtub. She loves being with people... she is just like me in this way. She doesn't not like to be left in a room by herself, except at night time to sleep. She even naps on the couch in the living room with all the noise of the day surrounding her... I have tried putting her upstairs by herself to nap and she wakes up like 10 minutes in... so, she is even social when she is asleep! :)
Wednesday, March 2nd
We got each of the kids a harmonica at Wal-Mart the other day.
Love her smile!
Forget Fisher Price... babies love cell-phones, remotes, plastic bowls and cups and... unopened bags of chips! :)
Thursday, March 3rd
Elia getting to know the Jumperoo... so fun! I love how she is looking up at her brother here as he shows her the ropes.

and mommy's hat...
a tired face...
Friday, March 4th
After one of a couple of baths this day...
Off to the Lutz Children's Museum... he did not want me to take this picture of him...no, he did not wear the hat out of the house... :)
The Lutz!
Oh my... look how stuffed this thing is... winter coats, etc!
Noah loves how this cow "pees"...

Noah unsure about petting the chinchilla...
The sweet girl next to Liliana her is her new-found friend, Sabrina. They hit it off so well! Liliana LOVES animals, can you see in her eyes how much this meant to her!?

Saturday, March 5th
Elia's baby dedication... More pics to come in a seperate post!

I decided to capture how Elia gets herself to sleep at night... she stretches and rubs her bear on her face and tosses him back and forth till she dozes off in utter coziness! SO SWEET!
