Noah News

Noah came to my room first thing this morning and said is a super proud and happy voice: "I sleep in my underwear, Mommy". WHEW! :o) Daddy and I have forgotten to put his pull-up on before bed a few times and some nights it works out fine and others it ends up a soggy ordeal in the wee hours of the night. :o)

When we got home from the museum he went potty and when he went to put his little jeans back on he said "can I have them the wrong way like Jump Jump?"... he noticed on the Wii game that the guys on th Dance 2 game have their pants on backwards for the song Jump by CrissCross... haha! :o) Donnie wore his pants backwards during that era in the 90's. ha!

Museum Pass

We bought a museum pass for this year and made our first trip out today. We went to the closest one, the Lutz Children's Museum, since it was snowing. The kids loved it and so did I! :o) It is a smaller museum, which makes for a cozy and safe-feeling environment for the kids to just enjoy themselves. Our sweet neighbors met us there. They are a family of five, just like us with a girl age 4, a boy age 2 and a baby boy, born 8 days before Elia. We were there for 2 hours and Noah did not want to leave even after that amount of time! I was kicking myself for not bringing my camera but will bring it next time for some cute shots! :o)

Friday, January 21st

Liliana learned to write 4 words this week. Here is a test I put together. I drew the picture and she got a big star for 4 out of 4 correct!

Elia sucked her thumb and fell asleep on the living room floor. She is amazing! So good at soothing herself and just the sweetest thing ever! :o) See the toy on her arm...

Saturday, January 22nd

We enjoyed taco soup for lunch, left over from the night before and Noah really got into the theme...

Sunday, January 23rd

We had a CCIF/CCIBI graduation banquet at church tonight where I was one of 4 ministers brought forward to public recognition of our credentialing as newly licsenced ministers. I have known the call of God upon my life since I was 18, so that is something I have walked in and been doing ever since, but I finally stepped out this past year to make it "official" with the Assemblies of God. They joyfully recieved me and recognized God's calling upon my life and were SO encouraging and excited to see what God has in store for me in the days and years to come!
Praise Jesus!!! :o) A very special day for me! The banquet was lovely and eveyone in attendance was incredibly encouraging and supportive.

Motherhood's Cure

Day in and day out, this house if filled with the sounds of life and I love every bit of it! I feel that the more the merrier is so true and it is truly more blessed to give than to recieve. After having a third child, the last bit of "selfishness" has been stripped from my inner being (at least for the moment...wink, wink). I find myself filled with a more constant and steadfast joy in my heart no matter what time of day or night it is, God enables me to rise to the beckoning of a needing child. I have been seeking this type of contentment for years but it came in a way I would have never imagined... it can to me through motherhood.

Now... watch me have a grumpy day...hahaha! I know I have totally NOT "arrived", and never will but what I expressed above is God's beauty and I thought I would write it down while my heart is so full! :o)
