Elia's PARK Adventures

The weather was GREAT today so we headed to the park for the afternoon! Yay!

Here is Elia in the SWINGS for the first time!!!

Look at that face! Elia and I sat down and enjoyed the sunshine while while the kids played on the swings... See Liliana and Noah in the background...

AND Emma too... We had so much fun! :)

Mr. Independent

Noah's favorite thing to say about everything is "I do it". Today we were at the park and I was pushing him in a swing and he turned his head to look back at me and said "no, I do it". Hilarious! How does that little love-bug think he is going to swing by himself. He later said "I do it" when I was helping him go up and down on the see-saw... again, with his sweet feet a good foot from the ground how is he going to "do it". So sweet!!!

He also loves to say "I do it" when I put shampoo on his head. He likes to lather it himself. Of course, I get my way and get in there and scrub too. So sweet.

Then there is Liliana who would let me spoon feed her even now and scrub her hair. She does those things without a thought for herself, but is not threatened by letting me help now and then.

So sweet!

We LOVE the Park!

When it is nice outside, you cannot keep us in!!! We love being outside and we love the park!

We gotta hit the swings at least once! I like to start and end there if we can.

Noah had the best "boy-time" digging his fingers into the gravel.

They kicked the soccer ball around and fought over it - of course!

Liliana made herself right at home by making the water fountain into her very own coat and hat hanger.

Our First Day at the Park 2009!

We love being outside, so we have been sitting on the edge of our seats, so to speak, waiting for the moment we could get to the park! Well, we were out running errands and realized how nice it was out, so we drove over to the park and saw that most of the snow and ice had melted and got out of the van and had a BLAST!!! The fresh air is the best! The kids went to bed at 7 pm that night!

Yes, Bee Movie is cute, but today, I am not buying it... today was the day of Liliana's first bee sting, and hopefully last... I have never been stung (as far as my mom and I know). She is such a tough little goose - she did not shed a tear, just did a couple of "ouch" jigs and hid her hand under her shirt and asked for a bandaid. The incident happened this morning at our favorite park. She was sitting at the bottom of the slide and I looked over at her and saw a big bee, just like the one in the picture. I was sitting on the ground a few feet away with Noah in my arms, so I said "Liliana, you have a bee in your hair - go like this - showing her to wave at it with her hand, but instead she grabbed it as any innocent two year old would and boom - in goes the stinger right into her right hand. He then fell dead to the ground, as bees do after stinging and I plucked the stinger out of her hand. I did not make a big deal about it, just said "that bee wasn't very nice was he".
